Not particularly connected with the vision, but it's a great site! Thinking creatively Creative thinking is going to be an important part of this project. It's easy to describe existing problems, but working out how to fix them requires a lot of careful thought. This page contains links to a list of idea generation and creative thinking techniques. We'll be using techniques like this at workshops which we'll be running over the coming months: if you'd like to organise a Thatcham Vision session for a group with which you're involved, let us know. Not only will you be able to contribute to the project, but you could also learn some new tools and techniques. What's going on elsewhere? Other towns and villages throughout the UK have been running their own Vision projects and some of them have completed their work. This is good for us, because we can learn from their experiences. Here's an interesting site, for example, from Wolverton in Buckinghamshire. We'll certainly be using some of their ideas. Other towns and villages in West Berkshire have also completed their vision exercises. Lambourn, for example, is one of the most recent to complete their parish planning project. The Thatcham Vision will be published late in the summer of next year. Living in Thatcham Living in Thatcham was the subject of this article in Berkshire Life in 2002.
